Martha D Lewis Cafe Aman live at Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, Dean St, London, W1. Lewis' music marries the urban blues of the Eastern Mediterranean 1920s, with urban contemporary London. Held together by a passionate and striking vocal lead Cafe Aman combines gentle song, classic melody, comprehensible jazz with powerful rhythmic urban groove. Lewis (well known to music audiences as half of the dynamic duo Martha and Eve) drives a spirited, high powered ensemble of top class musicians from the Jazz and World music stage, in this solo project. Line up features Pavlos Doukanaris – Tsoura, Dinah Beamish – Cello, Nick Cohen – Bass, Davide Giovaninni – Drums, plus special guests.
